Can I pay for faster residence-permit processing in Georgia?
Practical guidance for international readers · Georgia
The agency publishes different processing options by permit type. For ordinary work and family permits, the listed thirty-, twenty- and ten-calendar-day options cost GEL 300, 450 and 600 respectively.
What this means in practice
The IT route has its own fees: GEL 500, 750 and 1,000 for the corresponding options. Faster processing does not waive eligibility or document requirements. Card production after approval is a separate paid service. Use the fee schedule for the actual residence category rather than assuming every permit has the ordinary work-permit tariff.
The selected period covers review of the residence application; it does not include labour-migrant registration and obtaining the code required before an employment-based filing. Nor does expedited review change eligibility or guarantee approval. The residence card is ordered after approval and has separate fees and production times. Confirm the current permit category, price and processing period with the agency before payment.
