How do I prepare an invoice for an overseas client from a Georgian individual business?
Practical guidance for international readers · Georgia
An invoice should identify you and the customer, describe the work, state the amount and currency, and provide the payment details agreed with the customer.
What this means in practice
Include your registered business name or individual details, Georgian tax number, invoice number and date, and the service period where relevant. Confirm the payer's legal details and reference requirements. An ordinary commercial invoice is not automatically a Georgian VAT invoice; VAT treatment must follow the applicable rules.
For international SWIFT payments, ask your bank for full incoming-transfer instructions in the invoice currency. EUR and USD may require different beneficiary or intermediary-bank details. Enter your own IBAN as the beneficiary account, not the correspondent bank’s account. Ask the customer to include the invoice number in the payment reference. Keep the invoice with the contract and evidence of completed work; retain platform statements when fees are deducted.
